报告摘要:DarkSide项目使用贫氩作为靶核,采用二相型时间投影室技术寻找暗物质(WIMP)信号。在此次报告中,将回顾DarkSide-50实验的最新结果。该实验使用了50公斤有效靶核质量,目前在意大利格兰萨索国家实验室(LNGS)运行。然后,报告人将介绍计划使用20吨有效靶核质量的DarkSide-20k实验的现状,重点阐述低温系统的建造和测试的进展,以及为了最终确定TPC设计而进行的研发实验。报告人还将简述下一阶段300吨探测器的计划。

DarkSide program utilizes the 39Ar-depleted argon as target and the dual-phase Time Projection Chamber (TPC) technology to search for WIMP signal. In this talk, I will review the recent results of the DarkSide-50 experiment, currently running at LNGS with 50-kg fiducial mass. Then I will present the status of the DarkSide-20k experiment with 20-tonne fiducial mass, with an emphasis on the progress of cryogenics construction and test, and the R&D towards the finalization of the TPC design. Plans for a further step towards a 300-tonne detector will be presented as well.

报告人简介:肖翔分别于 2010 年和 2016 年在上海交通大学获得学士学位和博士学位。2016 年至今,他在加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校从事博士后研究工作。 2018 年至今, 他是普林斯顿大学的客座研究员。2019 年,他开始在欧洲核子研究中心从事科 研工作。他的研究兴趣包括(1)液态稀有气体探测器技术;(2)寻找稀有物理 过程,例如暗物质信号和无中微子双贝塔衰变。

Xiang Xiao got his Bachelor's degree and PhD in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2010 and 2016, respectively. Right after, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been a visiting researcher at Princeton University since 2018, and an associated member at CERN since 2019. His research interests include (1) liquid noble gas detector technology, (2) search for rare event physics like dark matter and neutrinoless double beta decay.
